Welcome aboard a flavour journey into the waters of the pirates and the golden history of rum!

We invite you to a Pirate Rum Tasting with Caribbean flavours and a lovely continuation in our own tropical world.

We open the doors at 15.30, when you are free to make your own purchases. At 16.30 we cast off with the tasting and meal. During the evening we taste three selected rums connected to pirates, seafaring and the era when the Caribbean was full of adventure, trade and legends.

On the tables awaits a Caribbean spread with pineapple, banana chips and salted nuts.

The tasting begins with Captain Kidd’s soup, where the first rum of the evening is tasted together with the soup. A suitable Caribbean drink is also served alongside.

We then let the second rum take centre stage and taste it without food, to discover its aroma, flavour and character. The second rum is dedicated to Anne Bonny & Mary Read, two of history’s most famous female pirates, and is presented as the evening’s Pirate Queens Rum.

To finish, Captain Morgan’s stew is served, where the third rum of the evening accompanies the food and lifts the Caribbean flavours. A selected drink that suits the dish’s spiciness and richness is served with the stew.

When the tasting and meal wind down at 19.30, coffee is served.

After that we move one floor down to our fantastic Caribbean oasis, where the Ten Cocktails Bar with many exotic cocktails and the World Wide Rum Bar are open. Here you will find almost 400 kinds of rum and around 20 beers from rum-producing countries for those who want to continue the evening in the same spirit.

Last order at 22.30 and at 23.00 we thank you for the evening.

Rum & chocolate, a flavourful afternoon tasting

Welcome to a cosy and flavourful moment with us, with rum from five different countries and three kinds of high-quality chocolate.

This time we have the pleasure of welcoming Lee Sernhov from Sernhov’s Rum & Chocolate. Lee is also known as Mr. Diplomático and is a much-appreciated speaker with long experience and great knowledge of the world of rum. We might even get to taste something from Diplomático itself…

We start with drop-in from 15.00 for those who want to begin the afternoon at a leisurely pace with a glass of wine or a cold beer before the tasting starts.

At 15.45 we kick off a rum tasting of about 1.5–2 hours, where we explore the three most characteristic rum styles and their clear differences in flavour, aroma and expression.
During the tasting we also try three different chocolates that are matched with the rum and bring out new nuances in every glass.

We round off the tasting at around 17.30.

The price includes:
Tasting of 5 rums from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Martinique, Barbados and Jamaica
3 high-quality chocolates
A coffee table with nuts, chocolate, biscuits and fruit
A 15% discount voucher for dinner that evening at the Loch Ness pub (around 100 beers in the range)
